Could it be that the "civil war" is starting in Israel?

In his speech, broadcast on Palestinian Al-Aqsa TV, Ismail Haniyeh announced that Hamas will attack Israel until the Zionist regime ceases to colonize more Palestinian territories…

The entire world is passive witness to new clashes between Israel and the Palestinians and still does not lift a finger at the bloodshed. The sequence of events shows that foreign powers - the United States, Iran and Turkey - add fuel to the fire. But that conflict is different from the other wars that have occurred for 73 years to the extent that we are facing the possible start of a civil war in Israel. The question is to know if it is a spontaneous fire or if it is caused.

Jerusalem International Day

On May 7, 2021, fourth Friday of Ramadan (the holy month of islam), was the traditional International Day of Jerusalem, instituted by Imam Khomeini. His successor, Guide Ali Khamenei, delivered a speech on that occasion to once again put the question of Jerusalem - the third most important holy place in Islam - at the forefront of international relations, an issue that Khamenei regards as one of of primary importance to the Islamic world [ 1 ].

In his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that Iran recognizes the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis against the Jews of Europe. According to Khamenei, the Europeans created Israel to get rid of the Jews who had survived (which is false, as evidenced by the case of the Exodus), stealing land that did not belong to them and thus making the Palestinians pay for the crime that the Europeans themselves had committed. He added that the Europeans thus demonstrated that they do not really care about human rights and that capitalists and communists then showed their true faces. He recalled that Iran has never recognized the State of Israel, neither in the time of Shah Reza Phalevi, nor since the proclamation of the Islamic Republic, and prophesied that Israel will disappear before the year 2040, not because of Iran but because of «his own arrogance.

Ayatollah Khamenei claimed that Israel will fall when the Islamic Nation unites. He praised the martyrs for that cause, from the Sunnis of the Muslim Brotherhood to his own Shiite disciples, starting with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and General Qassem Suleimani. He denounced, without naming them, the " Deal of the Century " and the " Abraham Accords ", promoted by the Trump administration, and the normalization of relations between several Muslim countries and Israel.

The Iranian Guide ended his speech by recalling his proposal - presented to the UN - to organize a referendum so that all the inhabitants of Palestine, regardless of their religion, and the Palestinian refugees abroad - even those living in Latin America, Australia Etc. - can decide their common future.

Scheduled expulsion of Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

Throughout Ramadan and mainly from the speech of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was already palpable in Jerusalem a strong tension around the possible expulsion 4 Palestinian families from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood [ 2 ].

Since 1948, Israel has been expelling Palestinian families living in Jerusalem house by house, invoking laws from the time of the Ottoman occupation, preserved since then by the British and by the current regime. This maneuver is confining the Palestinians in the small neighborhood of Kfar-Aqab, in East Jerusalem, already isolated from the rest of the city by a concrete wall. But in the specific case of these 4 Palestinian families, the courts are based on an Israeli law that violates the agreement concluded 65 years ago between Jordan - then in charge of that part of the city - and the United Nations.

Everyone already knows what the next decisions of the Israeli “justice” will be, given the fact that, since 1967, Israel unilaterally proclaimed Jerusalem its “eternal and indivisible capital ”, in violation of UN resolutions.

On the afternoon of Friday, May 7, there were clashes on the Esplanade of the Mosques - the Temple Mount, in Israel's terminology. Those clashes were already more violent than those registered in 2017. On Saturday there were also clashes in the West Bank (governed by the PLO) and on the demarcation line between Gaza (governed by Hamas, a movement linked to the Muslim Brotherhood) and In Israel. The Israeli army dispersed the crowds with tear gas and rubber bullets. When incendiary balloon shipments and a rocket fire were fired into Israel, the Israeli army responded by destroying a Hamas military post in the southern Gaza Strip. Hamas then called on the Palestinians to occupy the Esplanade of the Mosques until the end of Ramadan, on Thursday, May 13.

The Israeli Supreme Court indefinitely postponed the hearing on the expulsion of the 4 Palestinian families from Cheikh Jarrah, which was scheduled for May 10.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia and Turkey condemned Israel's behavior and called for de-escalation. Finally, the Quartet (Russia, the European Union, the United States and the UN) published a statement in which it highlighted " with serious concern the possible expulsion of Palestinian families from their homes, where they have lived for several generations " and expressed their " Opposition to unilateral acts that only lead to escalation in an already tense environment " [ 3 ].

Towards a military conflict

Suddenly, the situation evolved into a war zone, with Hamas firing rockets into Israel and the Israeli army bombarding Gaza with numerous helicopters and aircraft, or whether, with 10 times more lethal means.

All Palestinian armed factions quickly went into war mode, except for the Palestinian National Authority, which, on the contrary, repressed popular demonstrations in the West Bank.

The Palestinians are currently orphans of democracy… and of the Republic. They haven't had elections in 15 years. The Palestinian Authority canceled those that were scheduled for this month of May when Israel rejected that the consultation also take place in East Jerusalem.

On Tuesday, May 11, Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh made a speech on television and linked the question of Jerusalem to that of Gaza. Defined Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the heart of the Palestinian nation, denounced the expulsions of the Palestinian families from Cheikh Jarrah and presented the clashes on the Esplanade of the Mosques as "Jewish" attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is false –Israeli police actually penetrated the mosque and fired tear gas there while pursuing protesters who were legitimately protesting the expulsion of the 4 Palestinian families from Cheikh Jarrah. That speech surprised the Israelis to the extent that Hamas no longer presents itself as a resistance movement that provides a symbolic response to Israel but as a force that hopes to put an end to the advance of the colonization of more Palestinian territories by part of Israel…

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denounced Israel's appropriation of Palestinian territories for years. The statement where Erdogan mentions the possibility of "teaching a lesson" to Israel may have been inspired by the Pentagon. Possibly Erdogan believes he can save his own country by diverting the anger of the United States towards Israel.

War begins

On the afternoon of Tuesday, Israel demolished the building el-Shuruk (12 floors), in the heart of Gaza, by bombarding it with penetrating devices. That building housed, among other offices, the Hamas television channel, Al-Aqsa TV. It was Israel's response to Haniyeh's message. Hamas - which has the support of Turkey and Qatar - and the Islamic Jihad organization - backed by Iran - responded by launching a shower of rockets on Tel Aviv and also on Ashdod, Ashkelon and the limits of Jerusalem…

The intentional destruction of a television channel is a war crime. The International Criminal Court, which recently declared itself competent to try war crimes perpetrated in the Palestinian territories, has therefore been made aware of this fact.

The UN Security Council met twice, by videoconference and closed doors. In both virtual meetings, the United States opposed the issuance of any official statement, claiming that the expulsions of Palestinian families residing in East Jerusalem are an " internal Israeli affair ", which is questioned by all other members of the Council of Safety.

For its part, the Arab League considered that the expulsions of Palestinian families are not a simple real estate dispute and that those who have memory are the only ones who are not wrong. .

Russia demanded an immediate meeting of the Quartet (UN, Russia, European Union, United States).

As the Security Council could not reach a common position, 4 of its members - France, Estonia, Ireland and Norway - issued a statement calling for Israel “to cease its colonization, demolition and expulsion activities, including in Jerusalem. -This one .

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who supplies weapons to Hamas, denounced the inaction of the Security Council and called for " teaching Israel a lesson."

For the first time, clashes occurred in mixed Israeli cities (populated by Muslims, Christians and Hebrews), mainly in the working-class city of Lod, where a young Israeli Muslim father of a family was lynched by fellow Jews. armed. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin denounced the incident as an anti- Muslim " pogrom ". Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the crime and instituted a state of emergency in Lod. During the victim's funeral, there were more clashes in 18 mixed cities. Now there is talk not only of a war between Israelis and Palestinians but also of a possible civil war in Israel between Jews and Goys (non-Jews). The United States intensified its contacts with Israel to obtain a de-escalation. Useless effort. Washington, which is preparing to officially resume contacts with Iran - once the election of the next Iranian president and the signing of a new nuclear agreement have been finalized, against the wishes of the Israeli government - does not seem willing to exercise more. pressure on Israel. However, hoping to achieve something, the United States opposed a third meeting of the Security Council by videoconference, thus buying time for its ally. The Security Council regulations provide that the rotating presidency of the Council, this month in the hands of China, may impose the holding of a meeting with the physical participation of all members, but Beijing abstained from using that prerogative.

Conflict analysis

All considered impartial observers agree that the Israeli settlement policy, demolition of Palestinian homes and expelling residents latter violate international law and UN resolutions. It is in fact a form of conquest of territories, not by military means but by applying flawed legislation.

Benyamin Netanyahu, son of the private secretary of Vladimir (Zeev) Jabotinsky, the founder in 1925 of the Revisionist Party - the main party of the Zionist nationalist right -, embodies the project of " Greater Israel " (Eretz Israel), from the Nile to the Euphrates. Netanyahu promotes a form of Jewish supremacism. He is no longer a majority in his country, but he is still prime minister.

They also all agree that random rocket launches on urban agglomerations are a war crime against civilian populations.

Hamas does not question the colonization of Palestine - unlike al-Fatah - but only the fact that a Muslim land is ruled by Jews, which constitutes a form of Muslim supremacism. In any case, this " Palestinian section of the Muslim Brotherhood " - as indicated until recently on the Hamas flag - was created by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, with the help of Israel, to weaken the al-Fattah movement, headed by Yasser Arafat.

All of the above shows us that both the Israeli Likud and the Palestinian Hamas claim obsolete ideologies and that both resort to criminal practices, which removes any prospect of peace and coexistence between the parties.

All member states of the United Nations Organization - except Israel - recognize the " inalienable right " of the Palestinians not to return to the homes from which they were expelled in 1948 but to return to their land as full citizens. By recognizing Palestinians that right, all UN member states are theoretically opposed to the " two-state solution, " even though Western countries have supported that solution since 2007. By fueling that contradiction, Western powers are responsible for the perpetuation of the conflict.

The current confrontations are all taking place in the space of “geographical Palestine”, that is, both in Israel and in the territories of the Palestinian Authority. But they must not make us forget that in the past the Palestinian leaders abandoned their claim to live on Palestinian land to try to conquer Jordan (during the so-called " Black September ") and later Lebanon (during the civil war), thus committing crimes that discredited them.

The only solution is the binational state whose creation was foreseen at the end of the Second World War by the United Nations. This formula would put an end to the apartheid implanted by Israel, as former US President James Carter wrote 15 years ago [ 4 ], and would guarantee the right of the Palestinians to return. The problem is that there are no Israelis or Palestinians today capable of assuming roles similar to those played by Frederik de Klerk and Nelson Mandela. And the inter-community clashes that are taking place today in the mixed cities of Israel make this solution increasingly difficult to achieve.

Colonel Ralph Peters US in 2005 published the map of the largest US state. On September 12, 2001, he had written: “After all, ¿would a peaceful resolution of conflicts in the Middle East be beneficial to the United States? Israel, no longer dependent on the United States as its last defender, could show worrying independence. " (Parameters, n ° 31).

Explanatory hypothesis

It 's hard to believe that the wear of time sufficient to explain the clashes between the communities living in Israel. Israelis and Palestinians aspire to live together in peace ... except those who are active in Likud or Hamas. I would then like to propose here a hypothesis about that region that American strategists call the " Greater Middle East " or the " enlarged Middle East."

It is strange the incident that occurred on May 14 in Jaffa, where unknown persons threw a Molotov cocktail inside the house of an Arab family, causing serious burns to a 14-year-old boy. That anti-Arab attack was followed by a hundred anti-Jewish actions in the city, actions that in turn prompted new anti-Arab attacks. However, according to the police, the initial incident was not perpetrated by extremist Jews but by two Arabs. The following question then arises: ¿Were they just idiots who went to the wrong house and thus attacked their own side or were they actually mercenaries who carried out a premeditated action of the false flag type, that is, “under a false flag”, ¿to encourage the escalation of violence?

Since September 11, 2001 (with the exception of the parenthesis created by the Trump administration), the Pentagon has been applying the Rumsfeld / Cebrowski doctrine [ 5 ], which implies adapting the United States armed forces to the demands of financial capitalism and the globalization of exchange. To begin with, the American general staff set itself the objective of destroying the very structures of the states in the countries of the " Greater Middle East ", in order to fully exploit the resources of those countries without facing political obstacles. Only the states in Israel, Lebanon and Jordan were to be preserved.

Thus we saw, from then on, the destruction of states in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen. All those wars were "sold" to us as " revolutions ", none of them being such a thing. Those wars were also “sold” to us as conflicts that would last a few weeks, but none have ended yet because in reality they are part of what US President George Bush Jr. called the “endless war”. Now those wars are “sold” to us as “civil wars». The same process has been underway in Lebanon for 2 years, but this time without resorting to arms. This means that the map of the US General Staff published in 2005 (see image above) has been modified. Therefore, we can think that this plague may spread to Israel.

According to Admiral Arthur Cebrowski, the most difficult thing in applying his doctrine is preventing the fire from spreading. That is why Cebrowski delineated the " expanded Middle East " region based not on the resources of its territories but on the culture of its inhabitants. Starting from that base, was it really possible to dynamite all the states in that region - regardless of whether their governments were friends or allies of Washington - without "touching" geographic Palestine?

This hypothesis includes 2 variants:  in the first, the "contamination" of Israel comes from the peoples moved by their passions; in the second, the fire would spread to Israel at the will of the Pentagon.

In any case, if the consequences of the events that are unfolding today were to confirm this hypothesis in the coming months, it would be because what we see today modifies the very nature of the conflict and projects it decisively towards infinity.

The Pentagon opposed President Trump's foreign policy. Several generals even boasted of having deceived him and of having derailed the withdrawal of the forces that the United States illegally maintains in Syria. Those military did not accept that Syria escapes the control of the United States to be under the protection of Russia. Also against the will of Donald Trump, they took up the Rumsfeld / Cebrowski doctrine, applying it against Lebanon, where they have used internal rivalries to put that country in crisis without openly using US troops.

In the United States, the Democratic Party is turning anti-Israel, under the influence of the congressional group led by Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The Pentagon, which since 2001 sees in Israel an ally that has become too independent, would achieve its revenge by destroying the Hebrew state.

In just days, especially after the Israeli bombing of the Associated Press offices in Gaza, the American press, usually pro-Israel, became pro-Palestinian. Such a brilliant change is necessarily suspect.
