BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO HAS BELIEVED THAT WHAT
HAS BEEN TOLD YOU FROM THE LORD WILL BE FULFILLED. (Saint Luke 1.45)
EDITOR'S
NOTE. I believe it necessary to give this May 10, in which the world
celebrates mothers, give it a religious sense of greater benefit for all
mothers who, in the eyes of God, really are, a matter of meditation for those
who, unfortunately, they do not fulfill their role as mothers according to the
will of God and for ungrateful mothers who, unfortunately, left their children
God have mercy on their souls.
These
words were written by Saint Luke and were said by Saint Elizabeth, but in both
cases it was the Holy Spirit who inspired them because before in the same
Gospel it is said: “And Elizabeth is filled
with the Holy Spirit” (Saint Luke 1. 44).
Whereby
everything narrated is the work of a single author who lives in an inaccessible
light and said them for our benefit because, what does what is written here
benefit God? If He is eternally happy in His trinitarian union? From
which you will deduce that, even more so, they were said for your spiritual
health here on earth and for your eternal happiness there with the blessed in
heaven.
May
the Holy Spirit help my poor intelligence to expose the words written above.
Although
you read it is said "Blessed is she who
has believed" which
properly and unambiguously applies literally to the Blessed Virgin Mary, but
the door is left open for you to believe and enjoy that happiness through which
we see generosity and largesse of the Holy Spirit, and our smallness to whom
Charity itself lays its eyes. Not to make you blush or embarrassed or feel
unworthy but quite the opposite, because more things are coming.
"Because what has been told you will be fulfilled ..." what you have already
said you already know can be read in the Gospel of Saint Luke chap. 1. 24-37
let's not be lazy and let's go to those verses which I leave it to you to see
how interested you are.
I
imagine that you have already done it and you will know that, from all the
evangelical discourse, these words stand out: "Behold,
you will give birth to a son whom you will name Jesus" which means something very important, that she
is going to be MOTHER! ¡of the Eternal Word! ¿Are you amazed when you read
this? In truth, it is worthy and necessary to amaze us because the meaning of
these words is profound.
It
is also worthy of astonishment because there is nothing greater made by God the
FATHER than to make a mother of his Divine SON a simple creature out of his own
hands. Will you tell me, Is the Blessed Virgin a simple creature so that God
would show a special predilection for her? You are right to think this way
because all of creation is not compared to this unique creature, creation is a
separate chapter whose relationship is unparalleled to what we are dealing with
because never since I can remember these very lofty words were said to other
great characters of the Holy Scriptures of the same sex. Scrutinize them from
Genesis to Revelation and you will see that only the Blessed Virgin was told.
But you will tell me this is not true because in the Book of Judith, it is
said: “You are the glory of Jerusalem, you are
the joy of Israel”. It is true, but do not be confused because
these words were applied after a fierce battle, they were said by the priest of
the Mosaic law and the Church applies them in its liturgy with all property to
the Blessed Virgin Mary. Whereby they themselves contribute to their
greatness above all the creatures of the entire universe.
We
can talk about the multiple graces granted to the Mother of God made MAN and we
would not finish defining or mentioning them all because they all have their
absolute origin in these words MOTHER OF GOD and with that he said everything,
because even this title only understands it absolutely the Holy Trinity.
We
only have more than to contemplate the ineffable, irreproducible and profound
mystery, if you don't believe me, ask a common mother what it feels like to be
a mother and you will see that she will meditate on it for a while and she will
answer you I do not know, as I am right, but without However, if she is
God-fearing, she will tell you that she feels happy to imitate our blessed
Mother in something and here is, in my view, the most accurate answer to your
question.
Her
divine motherhood was for the souls of Limbo an event that filled them with
happiness because in Her was reflected what God had promised them and they
awaited this news with a certainty that would be fulfilled in due time and the
redemption of the fallen human race would begin. Adam's sin. In this way God
began what was expected not for years but for centuries by these blessed souls
who, because heaven was not open, lay in that place designated by divine mercy
for the souls who in this life had died in the grace of God. God, how can we
not believe in the promise of God made reality in Our Mother the Virgin Mary?
His FAITH AND CONFIDENCE were not disappointed.
Who
better than them, who already enjoy eternal bliss, will tell us poor mortals
that we believe without any doubt in the divine promises. For us mortals,
those of us who are still in this valley of tears and are bathed by the grace
of God, it is beautiful for us to say to our progenitors "mother" by
the great grace that, through them, God in his infinite goodness He raised us
and through them we came into the world.
For
they and only they will be able to honor and exalt the Blessed Virgin Mary with
greater reason because they share with her an inexplicable motherhood for us,
but for them the mystery of Motherhood is more within their reach and Our
Mother must in rigorous justice render her the greatest and most magnificent
veneration that can be given on earth.
The
veneration is higher when an earthly mother inspired by the Holy Spirit says
those words that the blessed Elizabeth addressed to the Blessed Virgin Mary,
who at that time had already become MOTHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. Blessed
and a thousand times blessed motherhood of the Blessed Virgin! ¡Look, oh
earthly mother, the way in which this beautiful maiden glorified God, who had
been made the MOTHER of his ETERNAL WORD! "My
soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit exults with joy in God, my Savior" he meditates
on what he says, he calls him his God when he addresses the eternal FATHER and
my SAVIOR when he addresses the WORD made MAN in his virginal
womb, and continues: "Because he has seen
the humility of his servant" Pay attention to his words, time
that he did not say because he has looked at my virginity, my beauty, my charm,
my obedience or my simplicity etc. BUT MY HUMILITY, Earth mothers learn to be
humble before God, learn your son or daughter to be humble before God so that
He fixes his gaze on you! ¡Oh if He fixes His gaze on you, what
ineffable joy will flood your poor soul, joy, I assure you that you will not
want to leave because it is a little piece of heaven on earth that only
produces thistles and thorns! Our Mother continues saying: "That is why all generations will call me blessed."Not
only from Adam but to the end of the world and, who doubts that the blessed
themselves continue to call her blessed in heaven? If you want to finish
reading the Magnificat I refer you to the Gospel of Saint Luke I believe I have
achieved my end with what has already been written.
