"Light to the living through the experience of the deceased (or souls in purgatory)".

INTRODUCTION

Taken from the Purgatory Manuscript

This Manuscript has been reviewed by several learned Theologians as not containing anything contrary to the teachings or dogmas of the Catholic Doctrine. We publish it as a purely historical document and with all the reservations prescribed by the Holy Church, according to Urban Law.

Manuscript Authenticity

The authenticity leaves no doubt. It is, in fact, true testimonies and duly verified chords that a Religious from a convent of V. DJC Sisters, who died on May 11, 1891, suddenly heard prolonged moans close to her. Startled, she exclaimed:

"Oh! Who are you then? You scare me, especially don't appear to me. But tell me who you are.

No one responded to these words, but the wailing and wailing continued closer and closer. In vain the poor Sister multiplied prayers, communions, Stations of the Cross and rosaries; the moans did not stop and always remained so mysterious. Finally, on Sunday, February 15, 1874, a well-known voice made itself heard: «Do not be afraid, you will not see me in my sufferings. I am Sister MG, a young nun who died at the age of 36, on 12-22-1871, a victim of her self-denial ». And the soul in pain made it known to her former companion, whose advice she had too often despised in other times, that she would multiply her visits to help her sanctify herself because it was part of the designs of God that she was, Sister DJC,

The answer was given, but it did not have the effect of calming the one who had received it. Sister MDJC begged her visitor for her to disappear and never come back. But useless; she was answered that she had to suffer all the time, wanted by God, what she feared so much.

And so it was that for several years the mysterious relationships that the latter left recounted since 1874 in the precious manuscript that we are trying to publish were established between the soul of Sister MG and Sister MDJC.

Manuscript Value

Its value is founded or comes from: First, from the same person Sister MDJC All those who knew her unanimously testify, without there being a discordant note, that this Sister never ceased to practice Christian and religious virtues up to the point of heroism.

Director of a boarding school, she exerted such a supernatural influence on her educators that all the guards, who are still numerous, described her as Saint, simply confessing that with her words and actions she impressed them much more than she could have done and they still live in her memory. . Let us hasten to add that all the witnesses of her life admit with moving unanimity that she was endowed with the most correct judgment; it reflected the most lively and cultivated understanding, the most perfect balance and the best criteria.

In quality he never desired extraordinary paths; before, on the contrary, he did everything possible to avoid them. The manuscript attests to this to the end. Her sister, immersed in everything she was forced to hear, claimed that it was diabolical, declaring that she was very annoyed to leave common life, she who wanted so much to be like everyone else and go unnoticed. In short, although protesting against the visits she received, Sister MDJC took full advantage of her spiritual advancement. Her retirement notes are a sure guarantee of this, and above all the unanimous testimony of all those who knew her and have seen her live and work.

Second, from the authority of the testimonies received. First of all, we must state that sister MDJ C „we know for sure, she happily had her director, RP Prisel, from PP. of Pontigue, the Superior General of her congregation being aware of everything that concerned her. Canon Don Eloy, Superior of the great seminary of Bayonne and promoter of the faith in the canonical processes for the Beatification and Canonization of Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús; Mr. Canónigo Santiez, official censor of books in the Pontifical Regulation of priestly life. An eminent professor of mystical theology, whose anonymous name we must respect for reasons completely independent of the matter at hand, but of whom we can well say that his beautiful works deserved these praises from the Holiness of Pius X.

 Manuscript Text

Mother Superior has been in Heaven since the day she died because she suffered well and was very charitable. If you were perfect as God wants, how many graces would I grant you! God wants you holier than many others.

Mr. Cura L; he is in Purgatory because he liked giving exercises and preaching everywhere too much... That was fine, but he neglected his Parish.

God will receive what you do for all the souls in Purgatory as if you did it for just one, as long as you direct your intention. The Via Crucis is the best suffrage after the Sarita Mass.

The greatest silence well kept, because I have frequently missed it.

I can't give any outward sign. God forbid, I've been too guilty. Because I made you suffer, God wants you to pray for me. You can also say it to Brother X, whom I also made suffer, and to Mother Superior, whom I also made suffer... If you could make me say some Masses, some rosaries for me... Your meditations well done, because I did nothing in them.

Your office well prayed, because I did not do it well: A great recollection everywhere, because I always looked up to see everything that I should not. Aspirations and a great submission to Mother Superior, whom I made suffer so much. Poor Mother Superior! (repeating these last words ten or fifteen times). ¡Ah, if you knew what I suffer! Pray a lot for me, I beg you, because I suffer extremely everywhere. ¡Oh my God, how merciful you are! ¡Oh, they don't figure out what Purgatory is!

It is necessary to be good and have compassion for souls. Heaven is so beautiful! And such a distance from Purgatory to Heaven! Sometimes the joys enjoyed by the blessed in Heaven reach us like an echo! But it is almost a punishment, because it gives us a great desire to see God. In Heaven the pure light; in Purgatory, the deep darkness.

God loves you more than many others. ¿Has he not given you proof of it?

Mother E. is in Heaven. She was a cultured and very interior person. But I'm not the devil! I'm Sister G. I'll bother you until she's in Heaven. Later, in my turn, I will pray for you. Although I can already beg from now on and I will do it every day. You will see if the souls in Purgatory are ungrateful.

The most guilty do not see the Blessed Virgin. When a soul is released from Purgatory, it is a great joy, even for God himself. What you have read in the books about this is very true. I'll have some relief on Easter day. If you carefully watch over yourself, God will grant you graces that he has not yet granted to anyone. You can pray your Psalter for several at the same time, as long as your intention is directed as if you could pray it for each one in particular and you will receive it as if it were said by each one of them.

There is a special penance in Purgatory for the nuns who have made their Superior suffer. Purgatory is terrible for those, they will come with me and they will see the punishment they will suffer too.

1874. May 24, second Sunday after Easter.

Go as often as you can tomorrow before the Blessed Sacrament. As I accompany you, I will have the happiness of being close to Our Lord. Yes, that relieves me (Annunciation). Now I am in the second Purgatory. Since my death I was in the first, where you suffer such great pain. You also suffer a lot in the second, but much less than in the first. Always be a support for your Major Superior.

I am in the second Purgatory since the day of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin. That day I also saw her for the first time, because in the first one she is not seen. Her visit encourages us, then this good Mother speaks to us about Heaven. As we watch it, our sufferings seem to lessen. ¡Oh, if I want to go to Heaven! Oh, what a martyrdom to suffer since we know God.

Listen carefully to what I am going to tell you. God has great graces to grant you, he wants you to save many souls. If by your conduct you put obstacles to his designs, you will have to give an account of all those souls that you could have saved. It is true that you are not worthy of it, but since God allows all that... He is the master of granting his graces to whomever he wants.

You do well to pray and make Saint Michael pray. At the hour of death it is a joy to have had confidence in some Saints, so that they may be our protectors close to God in that terrible moment. Do not be afraid to remind all your daughters of the great truths of the faith, souls often need to be instructed, now more than ever. Live only for God. Seek the glory of him everywhere. How much good can you do in souls! Do nothing more than to please God. Before each action, collect a moment within yourself, to see if what you are going to do will be pleasant. All for your Jesus! ¡Oh! Love him very much! Yes, I suffer, but my greatest torment is not seeing God. It is a continuous martyrdom that makes me suffer more than the fire of Purgatory; If later you come to love God as He wants, you will experience a little what it is to languish from the desire to unite with the beloved object: the good Jesus. Yes, we do see Saint Joseph sometimes, but not as often as the Blessed Virgin.

You must become indifferent to everything that is not God. This is how you will reach the peak of perfection to which Jesus calls you.

TO BE CONTINUE...
