And he (Elias) said to his servant: "Go up and look towards the sea." He went up, looked and said: "There is nothing." Elijah said, "Do it seven times." And at the seventh time he said: "Behold a cloud, as small as the palm of a man's hand, rising from the sea." Then Elijah said to Ahab: " Go up, eat and drink, because I hear a great noise of rain."
This little cloud is a figure of Our
Lady because that seventh time is like the seventh age of Our Lady, Santo Tomás
de Villanueva translates: "Behold, a
little cloud rises from the sea like the footprint of a man" Of these two
translations the most important is "that little
cloud" speaking of the humility of the Blessed. Virgin, because
elsewhere it is said that it was a great cloud that contained God in his
lap; and this cloud was capable of being the sky itself. This cloud,
I repeat, is a light cloud, a cloud without sin, formed by the vapor of water, that
is, of passible flesh; but it was raised by the ardor of the sun, that is,
with the love of God who dwelled in the heights by contemplation. The
Sacred Letters continue to say: "like the
footprint of a man." In Christ Jesus the head is the
divinity according to the apostle: “God is the head of
Christ” ; and in the Songs: "His
head, fine gold." And his foot is the humanity that takes
it from the Blessed. Virgin therefore the Virgin is the imprint of this
foot; because, just as the footprint resembles the foot, so the Virgin in
her entire life is a true image and figure of the humanity of Christ.
This Virgin
rose from the sea and this is nothing other than the glory of the
Blessed. Virgin Mary, But did the Virgin achieve this triumph without
effort? Certainly not: because here is how he rises from the sea of
tribulations, from the sea of persecutions so well known to us, he knew the
waves of the world, its shakes and its storms.
Finally Ahab is
told: “Go, eat and drink; because I hear the noise
of a great rain coming.” The Virgin rises, the Virgin is raised
to the heights. Your Ahab or us, she walks, eats and drinks until you are
satisfied; rejoice, rejoice because your land, that is to say our souls, will
no longer be sterile; a cloud rises from the sea, a shower of graces will
come; an extraordinary torrent of gifts will descend from the cloud,
flooding the entire Church, fertilizing all
souls.
For her, as Saint Bernard says, God
decided to give the world what he had to give. And the psalm
says: "Myrrh, aloes and cassia your dresses, tiers
of ivory." The ladders and tiers where the Virgin climbed are therefore made of
ivory, let's see what ivory they are made of: the first tier is the eternal predestination
of God to be her mother; the second, she is to be represented by the
patriarchs; the third, to be announced by the prophets; the fourth,
greeted by the angel; the fifth, conceiving by the work of the Holy Spirit
and becoming the mother of her creator; the sixth, her exaltation on this
day to heaven above all creatures by also being crowned Queen of all creation
and the seventh is contained in those words of His Holiness Pius XII taken from
the acts of the Popes: ¨PRONUNCIAMUS, DECLARAMUS ET DEFINIMUS DIVINITUS
REVELATUM DOGMA ESSE:
INMACULATAM DEIPARAM SEMPER VIRGINEM
MARIAM EXPLETO TERRESTRIS VITAE CURSU, FUISE CORPORE ET ANIMA AD CELETEM
GLORIAM ASSUMTA¨(The immaculate ever-virgin Mary finished the course of her
terrestrial life and was assumed, body and soul, into heavenly glory)
In this way she rises, following the
example of Elijah, like a soft wind without violence or noise to heaven carried
not by the chariot of fire like Elijah but by the entourage of the blessed
angels destined for this noble mission. While Elisha shouted, dismayed and
sad: "My father, charioteer of Israel and his horses", we represented
by the apostles shouted My mother, ark of the true covenant and living
tabernacle of the most high, have mercy on us miserable mortals and intercede
for us now that you will be at the right hand of your beloved Son. As
teachers, we also approached Her like the sorrowful Saint Peter, who saw in
this other opportunity, to tell her with heartfelt pain: "Mother, tell
your Son to forgive me" and the Mother, convinced of what he was
responding, told her: "Peter, my Son I already forgive you”, but the
stubborn Saint Peter insisted: "I know, Mother, but if you ask him, he
will take this pain away from me." From where we learn that St. Peter
never felt bothered our Mother who, with great meekness that befits a pleading
omnipotence, with utmost condescension, bowed by the insistence of the apostle,
agreed to St. Peter's request. This will also happen to us if we follow
the example of the Apostle without a doubt that she will intercede for us
before her beloved Son for any need before her Son who can do everything and
wants to do it in those whom He loves with a special love because they have
known how to preserve their mandates, faith and doctrine so attacked in our
times. We could already hear her words using those of her daughter Saint
Teresa of Jesus: My son “Nothing disturbs you, nothing scares
you. Everything changes My Son does not change”, have firm trust in Him
and you will not suffer disappointment and all your needs will be attended to,
according to His divine will, better than you expected. Then the words
that were fully fulfilled in Blessed Saint Peter will be fulfilled in
us. My most fervent wish as the most unworthy minister of the Lord, the
most unworthy devotee of this Mother of BEAUTIFUL LOVE, is that our dearest
prayers be fulfilled, by means of which is taken up to heaven, not only for our
needs as pressing as those of the whole world and above all for the conversion
of Russia through the consecration to her Immaculate Heart through our
individual and collective petition of all Catholics faithful to her divine
Son. according to his divine will, all your needs better than you
